New Pratt master’s program in climate-focused engineering to work 'hand in hand' with the Climate Commitment

Called the Master of Engineering in Climate and Sustainability Engineering, the program is one of several post-graduate engineering tracks offered by Duke and is designed to be completed in three semesters. The program is set to formally begin in fall 2024, though classes will be piloted this coming academic year.

NLRB rejects Duke’s challenge against Graduate Students Union, approves petition for official election

Lisa Henderson, regional director for Region 10 of the NLRB, wrote in her decision that the facts of the case have not “changed significantly” since the Region’s initial finding in 2017, when the DGSU held its first unionization drive. In doing so, Henderson rejected the University’s challenge against a 2016 NLRB decision affirming that doctoral candidates were employees with the right to unionize.

Supreme Court overturns race-based affirmative action in college admissions

Durham residents discuss Duke findings on unsafe lead levels at parks in historically Black neighborhoods
