After the two teams' epic championship clash Monday when Duke escaped with its fourth national title in program history, Butler head coach Brad Stevens has expressed interest in facing the Blue Devils once more, this time during the regular season.
Blue Devil senior Joy Cheek was chosen in the third round of the WNBA Draft Thursday by the Indiana Fever. Cheek was the 35th out of 36 players selected in the draft. By being drafted, Cheek is entitled to a workout with the Fever, but no draft picks are guaranteed contracts by the WNBA.
Duke's season may have ended prematurely, but Jasmine Thomas' breakout junior campaign didn't go unnoticed. The junior guard earned AP All-American honors today, being named to the third team.
A day after helping send his team to the Final Four for the first time in his Duke career, senior Jon Scheyer was named to the All-America second team. Scheyer, a co-captain, leads the Blue Devils with 18.1 points and 4.8 assists per game. He also is tops on the team in minutes played and steals.

Postgame: All three seniors addressed the crowd from center court after the game. They each thanked the fans for their support, and Cheek promised not to cry. Coach P was then interviewed and spoke briefly about all three. She also thanked the Cameron Crazies as well.
