Before the Blue Devils get started in the NCAA tournament, the Blue Zone takes a look at some Duke alumni succeeding professionally.
Duke was named the No. 2-seed in the Conway, S.C., regional Monday, joining No. 1-seed and the No. 10-seed nationally Coastal Carolina as well as No. 4-seed Rider and No. 3-seed UNC Wilmington.
No. 5-seed Duke fell 7-6 to No. 4-seed Miami, standing strong for much of the game, but late-inning mistakes from the bullpen caused its second-straight one-run loss.
While Duke has shown its capability to compete against any team in the country, the margin of error for this team is razor thin.
No. 5-seed Duke's ACC dreams were shattered Tuesday night, falling to the ninth-seeded Wolfpack 8-7 in an 11-inning thriller.
