The curriculum isn't the problem

But it truly is better to be single than to be in a bad relationship. Because being single doesn’t mean being alone unless you choose to make it that way.
Because it’s not just about being late … this is one of many ways we, as Duke students, have collectively decided to put ourselves over others.
No matter what type of cuisine it models, adding a restaurant that is trying to serve real food is an unambiguous win in my book.
We have been in the educational system all our lives; how much more can we gain from being a student for one to two more years?
Getting swag almost feels like being a lab rat pressing a pellet dispenser again and again — sometimes you get a treat, sometimes nothing and sometimes, frankly, a piece of shit that you have to figure out what to do with.

For me, tech is the epitome of the contemporary American dream and while we love to pretend that it’s a perfect meritocracy, so much of achieving upward mobility is built on luck.
It’s possible to not be passionate about your job and find passion in other endeavors. You’re probably going to enjoy your life a lot less, though.
Duke is an elite American college and thus must be politically correct 100% of the time; this professed commitment to diversity is directly at odds with the latent goal of perpetuating the university in its intended form.
