Philosopher George Santayana once said, “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” After a heartbreaking triple overtime loss to the Hokies in the 2023 campaign, the Blue Devils headed to Blacksburg, Va., determined not to let history repeat itself. They returned home with a hardfought 9-8 win and a three-game win streak.

No. 24 Duke women’s tennis coasts to 7-0 victory against Princeton in spring break matchup in Orlando

After Shavit Kimchi won the second set of her singles match, No. 24 Duke’s battle against Princeton was all but finished Wednesday afternoon in Orlando, Fla. The Israeli freshman’s straight-set win was the third in a row for the Blue Devils, following junior Emma Jackson and graduate student Brianna Shvets, who was facing off against her former team. These three singles matches, along with the Blue Devils smoothly capturing the doubles point, gave Duke the requisite four points to secure an eventual 7-0 victory.
