Roof blazing on recruiting trail

Any lingering concerns regarding the validity of Duke's hiring of Ted Roof as head football coach have been completely shattered in the past few weeks. Inside the program, people are lauding Roof as a superlative motivator and organizer, characteristics which have helped him to pull in multiple football recruits that have managed to turn some heads in the world of college football pundits.

NEW YORK, NY -- In what head coach Mike Krzyzewski called his best game of the season, senior point guard Chris Duhon put on a masterful performance in front of thousands of Duke fans and alums in Madison Square Garden. Undoubtedly, this was Duhon's opus. The much-criticized former National High School Player of the Year delivered 15 points, dished out nine assists and collected three steals--all while committing just one turnover--as he orchestrated Duke's embarrassment of Texas from the opening tip to the waning moments of the contest.







ND mulling options, no move imminent

Following published reports from USA Today and the Washington Post reporting that Notre Dame had been in contact with the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Big Ten regarding possible admittance, ND Associate Athletic Director John Heisler told The Chronicle that the Fighting Irish was merely keeping its options open for the future and that no changes are imminent.

A few weekends ago, hundreds of parents descended upon Duke's campus for a few days of catching up with their children, with many excitedly filing in to Cameron Indoor Stadium to watch members of the men's basketball team square off for an intrasquad scrimmage. They were dazzled by the abilities and maturity of Luol Deng, the passing of Chris Duhon, and the considerable improvement of Duke's post players. And for a few moments, the parents were puzzled--who were Borman and Means, and why were they going into the game?
