Duke basketball just made a yuge pickup, many are saying it’s the biggest ever.

Duke has added yet another high-profile recruit to its 2024 recruiting class, tall and skinny white boy from Mar-A-Lago, Fla., Baron Crump. The five-star center becomes the seventh commit in this year’s incoming group, creating a stacked roster in Durham alongside fellow superstar Salutetha Flag.

“We are absolutely thrilled to add Baron to our program. He is a high-pedigree, gritty, lunch-pail kind of guy who will truly bring a white-collar attitude to our team as we chase another banner in Durham,” head coach Don Shire said of Crump’s commitment. “And honestly, we needed a center.”

Despite some legal troubles that had him bouncing around schools during his recruitment, the 6-foot-7 stud still had an excellent career, averaging 20.4 points per game and five assists, in addition to being an absolute swindler on the defensive end for White House High School.

“Crump is an absolute force to face on the court, using his wit and frame to excel on the hardwood,” said recruiting expert Nick Hayley. “With his excellent support system who has raised him into the top player he is, he is a can’t-miss prospect.”

Crump has already inked his first NIL deal after signing with the Blue Devils. He will be the first college ambassador for Truth Social, a four-year deal worth up to $175 million, funded by a small loan from his father.

The point guard will have his first game action for Duke up I-95, as he and the rest of the team will compete in a Jan. 6 scrimmage against a combined squad from Grand Canyon and Liberty University.
