Duke's Saturday matchup against Loyola Maryland is canceled.

Duke men's basketball's game against Loyola Maryland this weekend has been canceled following positive COVID-19 results within the Greyhounds' program. The game was set to take place at 4 p.m. Saturday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The game against Loyola Maryland was initially scheduled in place of the Blue Devils' original matchup against Cleveland State after that game was canceled due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the Vikings' program.

"The health and well-being of our student-athletes, coaches and staff, as well as our competitors and the broader community, are foremost in our mind," Loyola Maryland's Assistant Vice President and Athletic Director Donna Woodruff said in a Friday morning release. "We are disappointed we will not be able to play this game, but we will focus on getting our fully-vaccinated team back to competition soon."

Duke is actively seeking a new opponent for Saturday, per a release from the program. Tickets for the original Cleveland State game were also able to be used for the Loyola Maryland game. The Duke Ticket Office will share more information directly with those holding tickets for Saturday’s game.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
