The Durham Police Department is investigating a sexual assault reported on Swift Avenue, a DukeAlert sent out Wednesday evening reported.
According to the DukeAlert, a female victim reported being grabbed by the arm by a male subject at knifepoint and being sexually assaulted in the woods. The suspect was described as a "black male, 24 years old, clean shaven, wearing jeans, a gray t-shirt and a black flight jacket with a hood."
The incident occurred at 10:10 a.m., the DukeAlert said.
