Krzyzewski.
In addition to being associated with the winningest coach in Division I basketball history, it's also one of the hardest names in all of sports to spell.
ESPN decided to put some of the ACC's top talents to the test and see how they fared. The results...were not good. Take a look:
Major takeaways from many of these players' failed attempts:
- Maryland guard Nick Faust definitely takes the award for most creative spelling Coach K's last name. You heard that right, he spelled it out "Kreyschewizzle."
- Duke's own Tyler Thornton even failed to spell his own coaches' name. Thornton was one of the closer attempts among the participants, but still flubbed up by forgetting the letter "w."
- Virginia is a respectable academic institution, but Joe Harris couldn't even get one letter out. You don't have to know how to spell Krzyzewski, but everybody knows his nickname is Coach K.
