Duncan’s win helps women’s golf to second place at Bryan National Collegiate

Lindy Duncan continued to solidify her position as the best golfer in the nation with a win at the Bryan National Collegiate over the weekend.

Duncan shot a 4-under-par 212 over three rounds, beating out UNC Greensboro’s Fanny Cnops by two strokes. The victory is her third of the season, and her seventh top-10 finish.

The junior had a season-low 26 putts in her final round, highlighted by an 18-foot eagle putt on No. 12.

Stacey Kim and Alejandra Cangrejo finished tied for ninth and 16th, respectively, at the 6,323-yard, par-72 Players Course at the Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center in Greensboro, N.C.

As a team, Duke started the final day in sixth place, nine strokes out of the lead, but rallied for a 1-over-par round to finish tied with Tennessee. The Volunteers earned the victory on a playoff hole, though, earning four even-par scores while the Blue Devils registered a double bogey. Florida State finished seven strokes behind in third place, and Ohio State and North Carolina rounded out the top five, three strokes behind the Seminoles.
