Henderson Is A Sports Illustrated Cover Boy

In the last two months, Gerald Henderson has emerged as Duke's best player. He's now averaging more than 16 points per game, and since January, he's scored 20 or more points eight times, including his 35-point outburst against Wake Forest Feb. 22. And while Henderson has received plenty of acclaim during that span—it seems he's on the cover of SportsWrap every Monday—he now has another laurel to add to his resume.

Henderson is officially a Sports Illustrated cover boy.

Henderson, along with seven more of the country's best players, graces this week's cover of SI, which picked Duke to be in its preliminary Elite Eight.

It is (we believe) Henderson's first time on the cover of the reputed sports magazine. When Duke Blue Planet took us on a tour of Henderson and Jon Scheyer's crib, Henderson showed off a framed copy of the Philadelphia Inquirer from the day after he made a coast-to-coast layup over Belmont. We'd imagine this cover makes his memorabilia collection pretty soon, too.
