Forest off-limits to former flasher

Duke officers cited Alton Wayne Green (DOB 07-31-59, 3803 Borland Rd, Efland, NC) for trespassing after finding him in the Duke Forest at 9 a.m. Feb. 17. Green, who could not be reached for comment, had been previously trespassed from Duke after being arrested for indecent exposure. Green's court date is set for April 12.

Tent flap fails to deter laptop thief

A student reported that her $2,400 Dell laptop computer was stolen from a tent in Krzyzewskiville. The student said she left her laptop in the tent unattended between 1 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. Feb. 6.

Fire safety down after extinguisher disappears

A student reported at 11:18 a.m. Feb. 17 that a $150 fire extinguisher was stolen from Wannamaker dorm. The student did not know when the fire extinguisher was last seen in the dorm.

Vending machine villain strikes in House P

A student reported a break-in to a vending machine in House P Feb. 17. The student noticed that the vending machine was open and some products were missing at 9:14 p.m. Feb. 17. The student did not know how long the machine had been open. There was no damage to the machine, and the change box was recovered intact. It is unknown how much product was taken from the machine.

Secrets revealed? Personnel files missing

An employee reported Feb. 16 the theft of some personnel files from his office in the Electrical Shop. The employee said the files contained some personal employee information. The files were last seen at 1 a.m. Feb. 6 and were missing at 9 a.m. Feb. 13.

Student and employee bond over damaged vehicles

A student and an employee reported damage to their vehicles, which were parked on Towerview Road Feb. 16. Both victims reported that their windshield wipers were bent. The damage was discovered at 7:43 a.m. Feb. 16. It is unknown when the vehicles were left on Towerview Road. The damage to the vehicles is valued at $40 each.

Laptop taken unlawfully

A student reported Feb. 16 that his $1,100 Dell laptop computer was stolen from the library in the Duke Law School. The student said he left his computer in the library between 4 p.m. Feb. 11 and 9:30 a.m. Feb. 12.

Camera snapped up

An employee reported Feb. 17 the theft of a Kodak digital camera and camera docking station from his office in Duke Hospital. The employee said the camera was left on his desk at 3 a.m. Feb. 17 and was missing at 6 a.m. the same day. The stolen camera and docking station are valued at $230.
