Camera lens stolen -

Sometime between noon March 7 and noon March 11, someone entered The Chronicle's secured office in 305 Flowers Building and stole a $4,000 Canon EF 300 stabilizer ultrasonic camera lens, model number mm f/4 LIS, and lens case LIS, model number C21-18401.

Vehicles entered -

Sometime between 8:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 15, two employees' vehicles were broken into while parked in the H parking lot at Erwin Road and LaSalle Street. Windows valued at $150 each had been broken out, and a $200 Pioneer CD player, a $257 Kenwood CD player, 20 CDs valued at $300 and a pair of $35 black leather gloves had been taken.

Vehicle damaged -

A visitor reported that between 5:30 and 6:05 p.m. April 19, he parked his vehicle at Duke Forest, Gate #10. When he returned, he noticed a dark colored vehicle, possibly a blue Saturn, parked behind his vehicle, but it drove off before he reached his vehicle. He then discovered that the $700 canvas roof top had been torn and the door unlocked.

Vehicle entered, items stolen -

An employee reported that between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. April 18, he parked his vehicle in the parking lot behind the Allen Building. When he returned, he discovered that a $200 window had been broken out, and that a $40 black canvas bag, $30 thermos bottle, and three cassettes valued at $30 had been stolen.

Vehicle entered, CDs stolen -

An employee reported that between 7:50 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. April 16, he parked his vehicle in the parking lot located on the corner of Erwin Road and LaSalle Street. When he returned, he discovered that a $200 window had been broken out, and two CDs valued at $30 had been stolen.

Cellular phone stolen -

A visitor reported that between 6 and 6:17 p.m. April 19, she left her $150 Alltel cellular phone in the Duke Hospital North lobby front. When she returned her phone was missing.

Cellular phone taken -

A visitor reported that between 11:29 and 11:30 a.m. April 15, she left her $100 red Nokia cellular phone on a wall in the Sarah P. Duke Garden and that, when she returned, it was missing.

Watch, DukeCard taken -

A student reported that between 8 and 8:40 a.m. April 14, he left his $90 silver Fossil watch, with a blue face on white background, and DukeCard on a table in Pegram Dormitory's 301A study room. When he returned his property was missing. Later that day he returned to the study room and found his DukeCard but the watch was still missing. He also discovered that $31.05 in fraudulent charges were made on his DukeCard from East Campus dorm vending machines.

Wallet nabbed -

A visitor reported that between 1:30 and 2 p.m. she left her $20 brown wallet, containing $30 in cash, credit cards and driver's license in the Duke Hospital North 3001 waiting room. When she returned her property was gone.

DukeCard stolen, used -

A student reported that between 3 and 11 a.m. April 16, she left her DukeCard in a second-floor bathroom in House K and that when she returned it was missing. Later she learned that her card had been used to make purchases from the vending machines located in House H, N, and the Bryan Center totaling $5.65.
