Car stolen

A visitor reported that between 12 and 2:57 p.m. March 3, someone stole her $20,000, white, 2001 Oldsmobile Allero, N.C. license plate NNP3189. She reported that her vehicle was stolen from Parking Garage I in the Medical Center.

Computers, equipment stolen

An employee reported that between 1 p.m. March 1 and 2 p.m. March 4, someone entered his third-floor office in the Duke Clinic's Blue Zone and stole his $2,500 Dell laptop computer, Inspiron model, with power cord; $2,500 Dell laptop computer with case and power cord; and $700 HP Palm Pilot, Jornada 560 model.

Damage done to laundry room

An employee reported that between 9 a.m. Feb. 28 and 8:30 a.m. March 3, someone entered the 1706 Pace St. laundry room and damaged the card reader, causing $500 in damage. The unknown person also damaged the toilet dispenser, the wall where the toilet dispenser was attached, the sink, the door and the door frame, causing $1,500 in damage.

Street light bent

At 8:01 a.m. March 2, a Duke police officer found a streetlight leaning at an approximate 45 degree angle in front of 221 Anderson St. The lawn area around the base of the light pole showed what appeared to be the marks of a shoe being placed against the shaft of the pole. On the lawn, a quantity of beer bottles, plastic beverage cups, trash, pieces of broken painted wood boards-from the privacy fence in front of apartment C-and two clear glass drinking mugs were observed. Estimated damage to the streetlight and fence is $500.

Laptop taken

Someone entered an employee's assigned area March 4 in the Erwin Mill Building and stole his $1,500 Think Pad laptop, serial number 78-WKH27.

Laptop, drill stolen

An employee reported that between 11:42 a.m. and 1 p.m. March 3, someone entered his fourth-floor office in the University Towers and stole his $1,000 IBM Thinkpad computer and $100 DeWalt cordless drill.

Monitor taken

Someone stole a $477 desktop monitor, serial number MX-08G152-47604-28C-DKSG, model 1702Fp, from the fourth floor of Perkins Library sometime between 12 and 4:50 p.m. Feb. 19.

MP3 player stolen

A student reported that between 4 and 10:30 p.m. March 1, someone entered her unsecured room in House HH, and stole her $300 white IPOD MP3 player and $100 in cash.
