Central Campus overhaul to begin this summer

Seven sections for student living groups on Central Campus will be relocated this summer to temporary housing while their sections are torn down or used to house other groups whose sections are being razed.

Was it worth it? Renovated Page receives mixed reviews

After over a year of renovations, Page Auditorium has re-opened for speakers, performances and Duke Chapel’s services. The work updated West Campus’ original auditorium and preserved its historical integrity with reworked views, better acoustics and enhanced access for people with disabilities. “The space will be altogether more enjoyable for an audience," Duke Performances Director Aaron Greenwald wrote in an email August 10.

Renovated Rubenstein Library ready for students

The David M. Rubenstein Rare Book and Manuscript Library reopened Monday—marking the completion of renovations that transformed the building into a state-of-the-art research facility. The approximately $60 million renovations to the 1928 and 1948 portions of Rubenstein—the original West Campus library structure—included adding more event spaces, study rooms, technology and new exhibits.
