No. 5 Duke overcame a double-digit second-half deficit to knock off St. John's 77-68 Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden in New York and earned head coach Mike Krzyzewski his 1,000th win. After their head coach became the first to reach the 1,000-win mark, current, future and former Blue Devils showed their excitement on the court and on Twitter and Instagram.

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—In its previous 80 minutes of basketball before Saturday’s game against Louisville, Duke gave up 177 points, 20 3-pointers, 106 second-half points and 76 points in the paint. Its adjusted defense metric measured by basketball statistician Ken Pomeroy plummeted from No. 11 in the country to No. 67.
