Sports world celebrates Coach K's 1,000th win on social media following Duke-St. John's

No. 5 Duke overcame a double-digit second-half deficit to knock off St. John's 77-68 Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden in New York and earned head coach Mike Krzyzewski his 1,000th win. After their head coach became the first to reach the 1,000-win mark, current, future and former Blue Devils showed their excitement on the court and on Twitter and Instagram.

Freshman center Jahlil Okafor and junior guard Rasheed Sulaimon showed off their dance moves on the floor immediately after the game as they got their celebratory t-shirts.

On Twitter and Instagram, several of Krzyzewski's colleagues and former players at Duke and with Team USA showed their support and appreciation of the historic accomplishment. Even 2015 commits Chase Jeter and Luke Kennard and baseball star Bryce Harper got into the act.
