Men's tennis upends Vandy, Texas A&M after losing to Illinois

This weekend, the men's tennis team traveled to Seattle to compete in the ITA National Indoor Championships. The squad, ranked eighth nationally, opened the weekend with an encouraging victory against No. 9 Texas A&M before being squeezed out by top-seeded and defending national champion Illinois by a score of 4-3. In Saturday's consolation play, the Blue Devils trounced fourth-ranked Vanderbilt to bring Duke's record to 5-1.


Re-focused women take on G-Tech

Last night, the women's basketball team had a shot at extending its ACC winning streak to 52 in Tallahassee, Fla., against Florida State. The Seminoles toppled the No. 1 Blue Devils, 80-74, in a lukewarm and sluggish performance by the Blue Devils. Head coach Gail Goestenkors' squad hopes to begin a new streak in Cameron Indoor Stadium Saturday against Georgia Tech, in a game that could set the tone for the rest of the Duke season. �
