Duke 80, Wake Forest 62 (Final): With the game's outcome all but decided, Amile Jefferson, Alex Murphy and Marshall Plumlee continued to battle for future minutes, not allowing the Demon Deacons an open shot. Plumlee added an exclamation point to the end of the game by swatting a shot off the backboard and allowing for Tyler Thorton to dribble the ball out in front an excited Cameron Craize student section.

In the third edition of the Bull City Gridiron Classic, Duke dominated N.C. Central from the opening kickoff, running away with a 45-0 victory against the Eagles in Wallace Wade Stadium. The game was the Blue Devil's first shutout victory since 1989, when they held North Carolina scoreless en route to a 41-0 victory.

While it is hard to credit just one player for a team’s victory, the majority would agree that the Most Outstanding Player of the Norfolk Regional was the reason the top-seeded Fighting Irish were able to advance to the Final Four for the third time in four years.
