Duke women's golf 2022 season preview

2021 was another ho-hum year for head coach Dan Brooks and company, as Gina Kim was the ACC individual medalist, Duke won the ACC team title and the program reached the NCAA semifinals out in Arizona. But heading into this campaign, things are different for the Blue Devils. Longtime stalwarts Kim and Jaravee Boonchant have turned pro, leaving juniors Erica Shepherd and Megan Furtney as the most experienced members of the program. Losing Kim and Boonchant—the former of whom announced her decision to move on to the LPGA just last month—will surely bring about challenges in the early portion of the season. But the early returns this semester have still been promising, despite some iffy weather in January. 





Five observations from Duke men's basketball's first half against Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C.— Three days after a gut-wrenching defeat against Virginia back in Durham, the Blue Devils ventured into Littlejohn Coliseum for a rematch against Clemson. This time around, Duke came out firing to an early 18-6 lead. Clemson tried to claw back into it, but the Blue Devils were not having much of that, finishing the half on a 20-13 run to take a 38-27 lead into the break. Here are our observations from the first portion of the action.

Q+A: Duke women's golf star Gina Kim talks decision to turn pro, favorite Duke memories

After a decorated career as a Blue Devil, Gina Kim is making the leap to the LPGA. The Chapel Hill native, who was a freshman on the 2019 national title team and last year’s ACC individual medalist, decided to turn professional and forgo her remaining collegiate eligibility. Kim will attempt to Monday qualify into her first two events, which are set to take place over the next two weeks.
