In their first true ACC test, Duke eked out a 74-70 victory against Virginia Tech at Cassell Coliseum. The Blue Devils managed to remain undefeated in conference play despite a second half in which they were outscored by 11 points.

Conference play usually breeds familiar matchups, but Duke will venture into unfamiliar territory for its next conference game.
In their first game as a member of the American Athletic Conference, No. 1 Connecticut defeated Cincinnati 67-34. The Huskies scored the first 16 points of the game, although the scrappy Bearcats did not give in. Cincinnati held the potent Connecticut offense to just 41 percent shooting from the field. Sophomore Breanna Stewart led the undefeated Huskies with 12 points and 12 rebounds for her fourth straight double-double.

After a shakeup atop the rankings— in which seventh-ranked Kentucky moved up to No. 5 after defeating then-No. 4 Louisville—the top five will remain unchanged this week. The schedule is a bit lighter this week due to final exams.

The Cardinals quickly built a 14-point lead in the first half, but let that quickly slip away as the Wildcats fought back and took advantage of 25 Louisville turnovers to take the lead for good midway through the second half.

After hanging on for two narrow victories in Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke heads north for the holidays hoping to have an easier time at another iconic venue—Madison Square Garden.
For the second time in three NCAA tournament games, junior forward Kelly Cobb had a chance to win the game in penalty kicks. For the second time, she delivered.
After playing three games in five days, Duke got some much-needed rest before the team returns to action.
