The third-ranked Duke women's lacrosse team traveled to Chapel Hill Wednesday night, and for 44 minutes of the game the team controlled the top-ranked Tar Heels. But North Carolina (9-0, 2-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference) used a 5-0 run in the final 16 minutes to defeat the Blue Devils by a score of 9-6.

The Duke men's and women's track teams had successful meets this weekend in Blacksburg, Va. at an event hosted by Virginia Tech. In the men's division, the Blue Devils finished fourth, with their record moving to 10-3 on the year. On the women's side, Duke took third, improving its record to 10-2 for the season.
