No. 6 Duke 82, WKU 55, FINAL: It's always a good sign for the Duke faithful when the band chants "Drive home safely" as they just did.
FINAL - Duke 88, Wingate 44: Overall, despite it being a decisive victory for the Blue Devils, they were far from perfect in their win against a clearly overmatched opponent. Duke, while they applied great ball pressure on defense and wreaked havoc all evening on the Bulldog offense, struggled with turnovers themselves and were sloppy with their ball control. Thanks for stopping by, and always stay tuned to the Chronicle sports blog for all pertinent Duke sports information.
Final - 0:00: With their final possession, the women had the ball in the hands of Chelsea Gray who had the ball stripped from her, giving the men a 27-26 victory. It should be noted that the women were clearly exploited with out their inside presence Krystal Thomas in the game, so hopefully for the Blue Devils the injury is not serious. Stay tuned, when we know more about the seriousness of the injury, we'll post an update. Thanks for staying tuned.
Football players Chris Rwabukamba and Donovan Varner dish out their thoughts on superheroes, Brett Favre and game-day food in this week's Pop Culture Grid. Last week, senior tennis players Ellah Nze and Nadine Fahoum disclosed secret talents, and much more.
In this Thursday's Pop Culture Grid, Ellah Nze and Nadine Fahoum are grilled on "Jersey Shore," Cookout orders and their ideal vacation spots. If you missed last week, find out if Duke Soccer's James Belshaw and Cole Grossman are Cosmic or Dillo guys, among other revelations.

So, who remembers the 2012 Republican presidential primaries?
I can’t think of any regular-season game in any American sport that could have the sort of anticipation that Alabama-Texas A&M has. Not any regular season NFL game, not Heat-Thunder, not Ohio State-Michigan. And no, not Duke-North Carolina basketball.

Mike Cragg, Duke's senior associate director of athletics for operations, interviewed last week for the vacant athletic director position at Rice. Cragg, who oversees the men's basketball operations and the sports facilities portion of Duke Forward, has decided to stay at Duke and spoke with The Chronicle's Andrew Beaton about his decision, time at the University and current projects.
So here’s something that might be news to most of the Duke campus: the football team starts its season tomorrow.
I’ll always remember where I was when I heard the news. A change so radical, so sudden, how could they just do it over the summer without telling us?
Freshmen, I know the months leading up to school can be nerve-racking. You might be memorizing your schedule (Wednesday Shooters, Thursday Devines, Saturday Shooters again), Facebook-stalking your future roommate, and eagerly trying to figure out which dorm will be coolest (probably with more Facebook stalking).
Jabari Parker is a winner.
Even after two national championships in seven years, the 2006 Duke lacrosse scandal may never go away.
PHILADELPHIA—If it felt like No. 1 seed Syracuse barely had the ball after it nurtured a 5-0 lead against seventh-seeded Duke, it’s because the Orange barely did.
Grayson Allen is “almost over-competitive.”
As Duke basketball heads into its offseason, The Chronicle's Andrew Beaton went one-on-one with head coach Mike Krzyzewski to discuss this team's 2012-13 season and what lies on the horizon for the Blue Devils.
