Duke Men's Basketball triumphed over the Pittsburgh Panthers in the Tuesday night matchup in Cameron Indoor Stadium, final score 79-67. In tribute to the late Kobe Bryant, both teams sported a black warmup shirt, with Bryant's numbers 8 and 24 on the front and back. 24.8 seconds of silence was observed before the singing of the National Anthem.
The Blue Devils ended 2019 with a strong 88-49 victory over Boston College on New Year's Eve. Freshman Matthew Hurt scored a career-high of 25 points and Wendell Moore came out strong with 11 points. After missing the last two games with a mild foot sprain, sophomore point guard Tre Jones netted five points and 10 assists in his first game back. Derryck Thornton, a point guard who played for Duke in the 2015-16 season, was back in Cameron playing for the Eagles. Check out Photo Editor Mary Helen Wood's best shots from the win.
