Head coach Kara Lawson has added yet another recruit to the Sisterhood.

On Monday afternoon, four-star 2024 wing Jenessa Cotton announced her commitment to Duke on social media. The ESPN top-100 recruit is Duke’s second commitment for the 2024 class, joining ninth-ranked forward Toby Fournier.

The Santa Ana, Calif., native will add some much needed versatility to the fold, as she has spent her high school career playing both as a forward and center. Cotton hails from Mater Dei High School, one of the premier basketball programs at the high school level that has allowed her to play against the nation’s best high school players during the season, a trait that will certainly speed up her development under Lawson when she arrives in Durham.

Cotton also showed her skills during this summer’s AAU circuit, with her Cal Sparks team winning the championship at Nike EYBL, where the wing put up 11 points and six rebounds to help secure a victory in the title game.

The forward will join a Duke frontcourt that will likely include current freshmen Jordan Wood and Delaney Thomas, alongside Fournier. Cotton chose the Blue Devils over Colorado, Michigan, and Kentucky among others.
