Head coach Kara Lawson took over for the Blue Devils this offseason.

Just days after nabbing the first commitment of the Kara Lawson era, the Blue Devils received the commitment of what could be one of the first Lawson recruits to take the court.

Lee Volker, a three-star, 5-foot-11 off-ball guard in the Class of 2021, announced her commitment to Duke Sunday evening.

Volker hails from Paul VI high school in Purcellville, Va. She was named to the Washington Post’s All-Metro Second Team and was the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association's DI Player of the Year in 2020. She’s an off-ball heady inside scorer with an outside jumper that could easily develop into a weapon.

The Blue Devils remain in contention for several top recruits over the next couple of classes, including top-5 2022 recruit Kiki Rice.
