ACC Watch: Florida State stuns No. 5 Florida

Every night of the college basketball season, the Blue Zone will bring you updates on all of the important ACC matchups. In our first-ever edition of ACC Watch, No. 5 Florida fell at home to an upstart Florida State team:

Florida State 83, No. 5 Florida 66

Florida State was the only ACC team in action Monday—and it certainly made its mark. The Seminoles (7-0) traveled to Gainesville, Fla. and blew the Gators (5-2) out of the water. Before Monday, the SEC's top-ranked team had only lost to No. 1 Duke in the PK80 Invitational title game.

Terrance Mann led the way for Florida State with 25 points while the Seminoles held Florida to make just 6-of-25 threes. Florida State also owned the glass, outrebounding the Gators 51-34 behind 10 points and 12 boards from senior forward Phil Cofer.

Check back in tomorrow for all the latest ACC action, including No. 15 Virginia's matchup with No. 18 West Virginia, among six other games involving ACC teams.
