Semi Ojeleye switches uniform to No. 30

A rare news item from Duke basketball's annual team photo day.

Sophomore Semi Ojeleye will wear No. 30 this season after wearing No. 20 as a freshman. The 6-foot-8 forward wore his new number in the team's official photo (back row, second player from the right) and is listed with it on the Blue Devils' official team roster.

Team spokesperson Matt Plizga said Ojeleye elected to change numbers this summer. No reason has been given for the change.

Ojeleye's minutes as a freshman were fleeting, appearing in just 17 games and averaging 1.6 points and 0.9 rebounds per contest as a rookie. The athletic forward's primary competition for playing time on the wing this year will be freshman Justise Winslow.

Ojeleye will become the first Duke player to don the No. 30 since shooting guard Seth Curry, who graduated following the 2012-13 season and is headed to training camp with the Orlando Magic this season.
