The Detroit Pistons have reached out for a meeting with former Duke guard Andre Dawkins, according to SNYtv's Adam Zagoria.
The 6-foot-5 sharpshooter was not among the 60 prospects invited to participate in last week's NBA Draft Combine, but still is regarded as a potential second-round pick by many basketball pundits. Dawkins turned heads with a stellar showing at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, where he averaged 21.3 points per game and shot 43.7 percent from behind the NBA's 3-point line.
After losing out its lottery pick to the Charlotte Hornets earlier this week, Detroit is left with just one pick in the 2014 draft—a second-round selection, 38th overall.
