Tripucka earns ACC weekly honors

Duke senior Jake Tripucka won the ACC’s Offensive Player of the Week award after putting up a career-high seven points in the Blue Devils’ 19-16 win against Virginia Friday.

Tripucka’s three-goal, four-assist performance included one goal and three helpers in the final period, which Duke entered trailing 14-12. The four assists were a career high while it was just the second time he posted a hat trick.

After posting 15 goals and 12 assists last season, in which he started 16 of Duke’s 20 games, Tripucka has 13 goals and a career-high 19 assists through 14 games, 13 of which he started.

The Blue Devils’ conclude their regular season Saturday on the road against Rutgers before beginning the ACC Tournament April 26.
