Curry scored 20 points in each game, going a combined 14-of-24 (58.3%) from the field, including 7-of-15 from beyond the arc.
The senior guard was a key to the Blue Devils hot start against the Tar Heels, scoring 18 of his 20 points in the first half and hitting his first seven shots from the field.
Earlier today, it was announced Curry made the All-ACC second team. Senior forward Mason Plumlee was the lone Blue Devil to make the first team. Curry is averaging 17.1 points per game while hitting 43.5% of his 3-pointers this season, both of which rank third in the ACC.
Curry was named to the Sporting News All-America second team today, the only Blue Devil to make any of the three teams.
Former Duke basketball player and current ESPN analyst Jay Billas expressed his discontent with Curry not being in the ACC first team:
Reasonable minds differ, but All-ACC First Team without UNC's Bullock and Duke's Curry seems unreasonable to me: es.pn/Zuuqab— Jay Bilas (@JayBilas) March 11, 2013
