2013 recruit Matt Jones signs with Duke basketball

Duke basketball head coach Mike Krzyzewski picked up a huge win Tuesday night against Kentucky. Wednesday, Krzyzewski notched another victory as class of 2013 recruit Matt Jones—a 6-foot-5 shooting guard—signed his national letter of intent to play for the Blue Devils next season.

The DeSoto, Tex. product has been waiting to sign for quite some time. Jones—the No. 8 shooting guard and the No. 36 overall player in the class of 2013, according to ESPN—verbally committed to Duke last November.

The strongest point in Jones' game is his 3-point shooting ability. Recruiting analysts widely consider him to be one of the top shooters in the class. This summer on the AAU circuit, he shot 49.5 percent from behind the arc in the Nike EYBL.

Small forward Semi Ojeleye—Krzyzewski's other pledge for the class of 2013—is expected to sign his letter of intent Nov. 20, according to a tweet by Joanna Chadwick, a sportswriter for The Wichita Eagle and VarsityKansas.com.

Ojeleye—a powerfully built wing with a well-rounded game—is the No. 10 small forward in the class of 2013, according to ESPN.com.

Jabari Parker—Krzyzewski's final target in the class of 2013, for now at least—will not sign during the early signing period.
