Duke volleyball continues ACC matchups

Duke hopes to continue its home-court dominance this weekend against Clemson and Georgia Tech.

The Blue Devils (10-8, 1-5 ACC) face Clemson (12-6, 3-4) Friday at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Saturday Duke will square off against Georgia Tech (13-4, 5-2). This season, Duke has won seven of its eight home matches. Duke has won seven of its past 10 meetings with Georgia Tech and is 39-19 all-time against the Yellow Jackets. Clemson—in search of its first win on the road—has played several close matches against Duke in recent years.

Sophomore Jeme Obeime and freshman Emily Sklar have led the offense this season for the Blue Devils. Obeime has recorded 202 kills—the most in the team—and averages 3.11 per set, while Sklar has collected 169 kills.

The squad will also look to junior libero Ali McCurdy, who leads the ACC with 5.72 digs per set. She ranks third in school history with 1,645 digs.

The Yellow Jackets have recorded the second best hitting percentage in the conference, and will rely on Bailey Hunter and Monique Mead to lead the team’s offense.
