Quarterback Sean Renfree and offensive lineman Laken Tomlinson were among eight ACC players of the week after the Blue Devils' 31-27 comeback win over Florida International.
Renfree, the offensive back of the week, set a school-record for passing attempts without an interception in his 28-for-43 performance for 335 yards and two touchdowns. The redshirt junior has completed 71 percent of his passes this season for 1,352 yards, second-best in the conference.
Tomlinson, the offensive lineman of the week, helped keep a Golden Panther defense that averaged 3.75 sacks per game—good for fourth in the nation—from taking down Renfree Saturday. The redshirt freshman also played a role in opening holes for Juwan Thompson in the fourth quarter, leading to two touchdowns that ultimately earned Duke its third consecutive victory.
