Duke football injury report

The Blue Devils just released the following injury report in preparation for Saturday's game against No. 6 Stanford:

RB Juwan Thompson (leg) – Probable

S Jordon Byas (foot) -- Questionable

C Brian Moore (arm) – OUT

RB Desmond Scott (leg) – OUT

RB Josh Snead (foot) – OUT

What used to be a deep set of running backs has now become perilously thin. Snead has been on crutches for several weeks, though no definite timetable for his return has been announced. He last played during an Aug. 19 preseason scrimmage, where he rushed seven times for 45 yards and recorded both a rushing and a receiving touchdown. Scott's injury has not been officially identified either. Thompson finished last Saturday's game against Richmond in apparent good health after rushing for 87 yards on 15 carries. He, along with senior Jay Hollingsworth, will be expected to carry the rushing load this weekend.

Moore fractured his right arm on Aug. 13 and will miss at least a few more weeks.
