Kyle Singler to play in Spain if lockout continues

Kyle Singler will take the court in Spain for Club Baloncesto Lucentum Alicante if the NBA lockout continues, his agent told Yahoo! Sports tonight.

Singler, chosen 33rd overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 2011 NBA Draft, has an out clause in his Alicante contract which would allow him to return to the United States if the lockout were lifted.

Alicante has two other Americans on the roster, guard Benjamin Dewar and forward Lamont Barnes. The former graduated in 2003 from Div. II school Lake Superior St. and has bounced around Europe ever since, playing in the Danish, French and Spanish leagues. Barnes graduated from Temple in 2000, averaging nine points and five rebounds per game in his senior season.
