Season ticket transfer turns into family lawsuit

Students who spend a month living outdoors for Duke-North Carolina tickets are no longer the most extreme fans of Blue Devil basketball.

A woman has filed a lawsuit against her sister and brother-in-law, along with Duke University, for control of the family season tickets, alleging that she should be the one to receive her father's old tickets.

According to the Associated Press:

A woman filed a lawsuit Friday against her sister, her sister's husband and Duke University regarding the transfer of two tickets that once belonged to her father for games at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Katina Dorton is seeking unspecified damages and asking the court to invalidate the "fraudulent transfer" to Gordon and Sophia Caudle that occurred without the knowledge or consent of her father or other family members, according to the complaint.

The lawsuit was filed in Wake County Superior Court.

This should make for an uncomfortable Thanksgiving, if nothing else.
