When you look at the final score and the stat sheets from the games Duke played against Miami and Virginia Tech, it looks like the Blue Devils played the Hurricanes relatively tough, especially on defense, and got completely dominated by the Hokies.
Miami is more talented, though, according to safety Matt Daniels.
"Virginia Tech is a very talented team, but I believe that Miami might be the most talented team in the ACC," Daniels said after Duke's 44-7 loss in Blacksburg, Va., Saturday.
The Blue Devils defense, despite being put in difficult situations by the offense's seven turnovers, limited the Hurricanes to 21 points two weeks ago. Against the Hokies, which Daniels called the most physical team in the ACC, Duke's offense committed two turnovers, yet the defense gave up more than double the number of points.
Miami is second behind Virginia Tech in the coastal division standings. The two will square off in what will potentially be the best ACC matchup of the year on Nov. 20 in Coral Gables, Fla.
