Singler Undergoes Knee Surgery

Generic Script

Kyle Singler underwent minor arthroscopic knee surgery this afternoon at the Duke medical center, Duke Sports Information said in a statement. He is expected to make a full recovery in time for the start of practice October 15. Said associate head coach Steve Wojciechowski:

"Kyle had some discomfort in his knee following a very busy summer, so we elected to go in and clean it up prior to the start of the season. By all accounts, today's surgery was a success and Kyle will be back at full strength before the start of practice."

Singler certainly was busy this summer. He participated in the Lebron James Skills Academy, the Chris Paul Elite Guard Camp (among several camps), and also practiced with the U.S. National Team before the FIBA World Championships began late last month.

We'll have more if any new developments or information arises.
