Cutcliffe Gives Himself a Q&A

At any media event, every coach hears the same questions over and over again. It's the nature of the game: Many reporters simply do not care if their question has already been answered; they want to ask it, too.

As a result of hearing these repetitive comments, coaches probably feel they can do as good a job as the scribes who cover them. And they might be right. We have proof that head coach David Cutcliffe is as capable a reporter as they come.

In this audio clip taken from the ACC Kickoff in Greensboro, the third-year coach gives himself a question and answer session for fifteen straight minutes, at turns hilarious and pretty amazing, that you really have to hear to believe. Arguably the funniest exchange (if you can call the monologue an exchange) occurs around the 3:30-mark, when Cutcliffe asks himself a question he's been meaning to ask himself.

"Let me ask you, Coach: To win in the Atlantic Coast Conference, what does your kicking game bring? Where do you see being able to use your kicking game to help pick up slack offensively or defensively?"

"Well, it starts with us in our place kicking game."
