Will Coach K Go Pro?

Just as Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski makes his return to the National Championship game, rumors are beginning to purport as to his future plans. According to recent reports from USA Today, the New Jersey Nets new owner, billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, will make Krzyzewski an offer upwards of 15 million dollars per year to coach the Nets, making him the highest paid coach in the NBA. Phil Jackson, who currently holds that rank, makes a mere 12 million dollars per year. If Prokhorov has his way, Krzyzewski will be coaching last college game tonight against Butler.

However, all signs point to him staying at Duke. When these same rumors began to surface earlier in the year, Krzyzewski shot them down immediately, stating, "If [the Nets] did [offer me the head coaching job], to say ‘nyet’ would be easy for me." Even earlier in the week, he told ESPN.com that he would "have no interest in the job."
