After a strong performance in the NIT Season Tip-Off against foes Arizona State and Connecticut, senior Jon Scheyer was named the ACC's Player of the Week.
Last week, the point guard averaged 17.5 points, 5.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. Scheyer led the Blue Devils over the Sun Devils and the Huskies last week and won the tournament's Most Valuable Player Award. The senior has taken very good care of the ball for the Blue Devils and has 31 assists on the season so far and just 3 turnovers.
Scheyer won the honors just one week after his teammate Nolan Smith was recognized for his own play.
