Henderson, Singler Named All-ACC

Gerald Henderson was named to the All-ACC first team and Kyle Singler was named to the second team, the league announced Monday.

Henderson joined Tyler Hansbrough, Ty Lawson, Toney Douglas and Jack McClinton on the first team. The junior received 210 of 228 possible votes, the fourth-most of anyone on the first team. Henderson finished the regular season averaging 16.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, along with 19.8 points per game in conference play. He also received an honorable mention nod on the conference's all-defensive team.

Singler garnered second-team honors, along with Jeff Teague, Tyrese Rice, Trevor Booker and Greivis Vasquez. Singler posted 16.5 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game.

Henderson and Singler were the only two Duke players to be honored by the ACC. Jon Scheyer--who averaged more than 14 points per game, scored more than 12 points in the last six games of the season and posted 24 against North Carolina Sunday--was the only other Blue Devil with a legitimate chance for All-ACC recognition.
