Elizabeth Spiers,

After graduating with a public policy degree and no idea what she wanted to do with her life, Elizabeth Spiers, Trinity '99, has made quite a name for herself.

She took a run-of-the-mill job at an Internet startup company, and soon afterward founded Dead Horse Media-which publishes industry-specific blogs Dealbreaker.com, Fashionista and Supermogul-became the founding editor of Gawker.com, and served a stint as editor of mediabistro.com. Now the media empress is delving into fiction: her debut novel, And They All Die in the End, will be published next winter. Even though the protagonist is a journalist, Spiers says it has little to do with her personal experiences. The book explores the reactions and consequences following a false accusation.

Less than a decade out of college, she's already been named to several "ones to watch" lists, so what's next? Spiers says she'll definitely write more after this book is released. "By the time the novel actually arrives in bookstores, I'll have had time to write another book," she says. Watch out world-Spiers is on a roll!
