The Chronicle's editorial (Dec. 3) "Good effort, a little late," asks the University administration to provide a report to the campus community regarding the steps we are taking between now and the beginning of the second semester, and our plans from that point on, to address safety issues on campus. It's a good suggestion, and we will do it.
In the meantime, we hope everyone will take appropriate safety precautions and cooperate with Duke police and our security staff to ensure that ours is a safe campus.
