Man removed from Hancock concert

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated and disorderly person at the Nov. 10 Herbie Hancock concert in Page Auditorium. When officers arrived, they spoke to an usher who told them that David Burgner, 43, of 6829 Woody Ridge Rd. in Graham, N.C., was disrupting the performance by yelling and shouting and had been asked to leave. Officers approached Burgner and removed him from the auditorium. Burgner was uncooperative and refused to leave University property after being warned. He was arrested for trespassing and jailed under a $500 secured bond.

Burgner, who could not be reached for comment, has a court date of Dec. 12.

Wallet snatched from Randolph

A student reported the theft of her wallet from her Randolph Dormitory room Nov. 10. The student said the wallet was found in the women's bathroom across the hall from her room with $60 in cash missing. She said she last saw the wallet in her room Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. and it was found in the bathroom at 2:30 p.m. the same day.

Bus suffers from rocks

An employee reported damage to a University bus parked at Transportation Services on Wilkerson Avenue Nov. 10. The employee said he found a number of baseball-sized rocks in the parking lot that appeared to have been thrown over the fence from the railroad track at the parked buses. One bus suffered a broken window valued at $225. The vandalism appeared to have been committed sometime during the previous night.

63 CDs taken from LeBaron

A student reported a break-in to her 1994 Chrysler LeBaron in the Blue Zone parking lot. The student said she parked her vehicle there at Nov. 10 at 4:00 p.m. and discovered the break-in Nov. 6 at 4:00 p.m. She said someone cut the convertible top of her vehicle and stole 63 compact discs and a $100 CD case. The vehicle's ignition was also damaged. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $800.
