In the latest example of why Duke is clearly the best team in the country right now, Will Avery and the Blue Devils sparkled in the second half of their 81-61 rout over UNC. Avery scored seven points in a crucial 14-2 run that put the game away and was dominate all night long, scoring from outside and driving to the basket whenever he wanted. Avery wants this team to be the best-ever at Duke and he may be the one to lead the way. At least for now, Avery is The Chronicle's "There are no excuses now, Ed" Athlete of the Week.
