With their teams' seasons and their own careers on the line, Blue Devil senior guards Jeff Capel and Kira Orr did all they possibly could to bail out the men's and women's basketball teams respectively. Orr notched 22 points and 10 rebounds in the Blue Devils' second-round loss to Illinois and, with the help of fellow senior Tye Hall, carried Duke by scoring all of the team's second-half points until the 5-minute mark. Capel went down with his guns blazing in the Blue Devils' loss to Providence, scoring 26 points and draining desperation threes until the final buzzer. For their fierce competitive spirit, Orr and Capel are this week's Chronicle "gunslinging" Athletes of the Week.
