After break-ins all over Duke's campus, the University continues to be a safe haven for the homeless. RM heard that a homeless man has been inhabiting the basement of a house held by Duke's track team. In late January, someone broke into the Project WILD "locker" (it's a house on Alexander Street) and stole all the copper pipes under the house. Flooding ensued. The ties to the homeless are speculation-but DUPD is on the case. We think.
